Project Summary

As AI reshapes economies, women in Latin America face a growing risk of exclusion from the future of work. They are disproportionately concentrated in jobs vulnerable to automation, while access to AI literacy, networks, and career pathways remains deeply unequal.

Kickstart Your Career is Laboratoria's response: a human-led, AI-enabled employability model that helps young unemployed women build career direction, AI and Data skills, and professional networks to access better jobs in rapidly changing labor markets.

Delivered remotely across five Latin American countries, Kickstart builds on a decade of experience supporting women into employment through workforce education and a regional ecosystem of 1,500+ hiring partners. Early results show 60%+ of participants accessing better employment. By 2030, Laboratoria aims to reach 100,000 women through scalable partnerships.

Founded in 2014, Laboratoria is a Latin American nonprofit creating pathways to economic mobility for women historically excluded from quality opportunities. Since its founding, Laboratoria has supported more than 10,000 women across 11 countries through workforce education and employability programs, achieving a historical 73% placement rate and up to 3x income growth.
