Ethical Impact Assessment for AI

This project aims to support UNESCO Member States in implementing the Recommendation on the Ethics of AI and ensuring the ethical design, development and use of AI, through the development of an Ethical Impact Assessment (EIA). EIA will help to predict consequences, mitigate risks, avoid harmful impact, facilitate citizen participation and awareness, and deploy various containment and redress mechanisms for those who have been adversely affected by these new technologies. The project looks to spread and encourage the adoption of the proposed EIA methodology by all relevant stakeholders in the AI life cycle leading to ethical implementation of AI globally.
