Project Summary

Passerelle is a multilingual, AI-powered communication platform co-designed with NGOs to improve access to protection, health, and legal services for displaced people.

Refugees often face life-threatening barriers due to language exclusion, especially during first contact with authorities. Passerelle offers a hybrid model combining contextual AI translation with rapid escalation to trained interpreters for sensitive or high-risk content. The solution is being piloted in France and designed for scale across humanitarian contexts. Key partners include refugee-led organizations, legal aid clinics, and interpretation networks.

Our goal is to build inclusive digital infrastructure that protects fundamental rights, increases institutional trust, and ensures safe access to services—regardless of language.

Mission AI is a European startup building ethical, human-centered AI for nonprofits, public institutions, and social enterprises. It co-creates custom digital solutions to help partners unlock data and increase their impact without compromising on trust or dignity. Its work spans refugee inclusion, public service delivery, and disinformation response, focusing on rights-based AI that solves practical challenges with a clear return on investment and social value.
