The Common Good Cyber Fund strengthens the cybersecurity of civil society actors—NGOs, journalists, human rights defenders—who are increasingly targeted yet under-resourced.
We provide rapid, flexible funding, technical expertise, and capacity-building to nonprofits who enhance digital resilience. Our goal is to enable secure participation in digital public infrastructure and ensure AI technologies support—not endanger—democratic values and the SDGs.
Launched in June 2025, the Fund has its first cohort of grantees in Autumn 2025. Long-term, we aim to establish a sustainable, globally accessible mechanism that shifts cybersecurity from a reactive tool of control to a proactive enabler of human rights.
The Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) is an international nonprofit organization working with communities to improve the Internet and help people and organizations be more secure online. It achieves this in three ways: working with communities; engaging infrastructure owners and operators; and driving ecosystem engagement for collective action on cybersecurity.
