Project Summary
BIO PLANET TMC Ltd scales climate-resilient farming systems for smallholder farmers in Benin and across West Africa, with a strong focus on women and Indigenous communities. The model transforms biodegradable waste into high-quality organic fertilizers while delivering hands-on training and climate education to restore soils, increase yields, and reduce dependence on costly chemical inputs.
This approach strengthens resilience to heat and climate shocks while building circular local economies. To date, the initiative has supported over 3,700 farmers, regenerated 1,200 hectares of degraded land, increased yields by up to 45%, and created 120 green jobs.
The long-term objective is to scale inclusive, regenerative farming systems that restore ecosystems, empower vulnerable communities, and build sustainable food systems across the region.
