High-Level Mobilization for Children at the Paris Peace Forum

Paris, September 25th 2026 — On November 10 and 11, the Paris Peace Forum will convene a Child Summit focused on protecting the well-being and future of the next generations.

Heads of state and government, international and civil society organizations, and representatives of the private and public sectors will launch three initiatives supporting children and adolescents as they face challenges posed in particular by new technologies and cuts in development aid.

“Making children’s protection, education and well-being a priority means preparing our societies for tomorrow. France is at the forefront of this effort, working to put children at the heart of both national and international efforts. I am happy that, for the first time, a dedicated Child Summit will be hosted as part of the Paris Peace Forum in November,” said Eléonore Caroit, Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, responsible for Francophonie, International Partnerships, and French Nationals Abroad.

She was speaking at the official launch of the Child Summit on September 24, an event organized by the Paris Peace Forum at the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

By placing childhood at the heart of the global political and strategic agenda, the Paris Peace Forum is continuing its longstanding commitments to health, nutrition, and artificial intelligence that benefits children.

This echoes the remarks made by French President Emmanuel Macron during his speech at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, September 22. To underscore the importance of this initiative, President Macron signed an op-ed, which the Paris Peace Forum shared online.
