Project Summary

OCP Green Water is developing an integrated model for the production, transport and use of non-conventional water, mainly from desalination and wastewater reuse. Powered by green energy, the project secures OCP Group’s industrial water needs, supports drinking water supply for communities across Morocco and sustains high-value agriculture.

Presentation of the Organization

Founded in 2022, OCP Green Water (OGW) is the OCP Group subsidiary dedicated to non-conventional water resources for industry, cities and agriculture, contributing to Morocco’s national water sovereignty strategy. With 320 million m³ of installed capacity in 2025, rising to 610 million m³ by 2027, it secures the water autonomy of all OCP sites and supplies drinking water to Safi, El Jadida, southern Casablanca and soon Marrakech. Powered by 100% green energy and backed by UM6P and international partners, OGW aims to lead the water transition in Morocco and Africa.
