The Poverty Alleviation Coalition was launched in 2019, in response to the increasing number of refugees and host community households enduring extreme poverty globally. The overall objective is to alleviate the poverty of 500,000 refuges and host communities in 35 countries within 5 years by sustainably increasing income opportunities. The Coalition's model is the 'Graduation Approach', which has a strong evidence base as a proven poverty alleviation tool.
