The Regional Housing Programme (RHP) provides housing to the most vulnerable persons who were displaced during the armed conflicts in Yugoslavia in the 1990s and who have been living in precarious conditions ever since. The Programme is implemented by four Partner Countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia. It is financed by the international community through a multi-donor fund. Implementation of the RHP is advancing steadily. Some 5,000 vulnerable families have received a decent home thanks to the Programme. The RHP is also increasing the capacity of Partner Countries in delivering housing solutions to other vulnerable population groups. RHP fosters regional cooperation and facilitates reconciliation. It contributes to the stability and prosperity of the Balkan region and of Europe at large.
