AgriPeace Idjwi

Project Summary

AgriPeace Idjwi promotes sustainable agricultural practices to strengthen food security, restore degraded ecosystems, and improve the livelihoods of vulnerable communities in Idjwi (DR Congo).

The project combines conservation agriculture, reforestation, sustainable water management, and farmer training, with a special focus on populations displaced by climate crises.

By fostering local innovation and resilience, AgriPeace Idjwi contributes to building lasting peace by linking environmental protection, economic empowerment, and social cohesion.

Presentation of the Organization

Congo Peace Academy is an organization committed to promoting peace, climate resilience, and sustainable development in the Democratic Republic of Congo, primarily in the Great Lakes region. We lead projects focused on agroecology, ecosystem rehabilitation, and community empowerment—especially among populations affected by climate change and conflict. We work toward a more peaceful and sustainable future for local populations.
