International standardisation will be a critical element of mature AI governance. Yet, the emerging AI standards landscape is difficult to navigate, and efforts are needed to enhance participation from civil society and other stakeholder groups, integrate human rights expertise, and ensure transparent and accessible standard-setting processes that include perspectives from all parts of the world.
The AI Standards Hub addresses these challenges by providing ways for stakeholders to connect, stay informed, and shape developments in international AI standards, including through our interactive online database that tracks key AI standards, helping stakeholders understand, assess, and make informed use of them. Our resources and events facilitate coordination and knowledge sharing internationally and enable closer collaboration between stakeholders from the global north and global south.
