One Health Summit 2026: the Paris Peace Forum places children’s health at the heart of the global agenda

Co-branding PPF x OneHealth par Paris Peace Forum

Paris, March 27th, 2026 - As part of the One Health Summit, the Paris Peace Forum is organizing a high-level panel to examine the strategic role of philanthropic organizations in the ‘One Health’ approach, with a particular focus on placing the well-being of children and mothers at the heart of priorities. On the sidelines of the Summit, the Forum’s Founder and Director General, Justin Vaïsse, will also take part in a follow-up meeting of the ‘Nutrition for Growth’ (N4G) 2025 initiative.

From April 5-7, 2026, France will host the One Health Summit in Lyon, France’s global health capital. The goal of this Summit is to rethink the global institutional framework for health by giving a voice to a wide range of stakeholders. The aim is to develop synergies that will benefit the One Health approach, which is based on the recognition that human health, animal health and ecosystems health are closely interdependent.

“Philanthropies for One Health, One Health for Children”

During the afternoon of April 6, 2026, the Paris Peace Forum is organizing a high-level panel as part of the Summit, entitled “Philanthropies for One Health, One Health for Children”, which will bring together philanthropies, development banks, non-governmental organizations and global health partners, including the Rockefeller Foundation, the S Foundation, the Mérieux Foundation and the OECD, amongst others.

Éléonore Caroit, Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in charge of Francophonie, International Partnerships, and French Citizens Abroad, will open the panel, and Justin Vaïsse, the Forum’s Founder and Executive Director, will address the closing words.

The discussion will be conducted into two parts. The first part will focus on mobilizing philanthropic stakeholders around the Summit’s major issues, such as pandemic preparedness and the resilience of food systems. The second part will concentrate on maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH), which lies at the heart of prevention and resilience.

This panel builds on the Child Priority Framework, an initiative launched by the Paris Peace Forum in collaboration with the Gates Foundation and other key partners, which aims to make children’s health, education and nutrition central pillars of global development efforts.

All media representatives wishing to attend this event must register for the Summit by noon on Monday, March 30.

Nutrition for Growth Follow-up meeting

On the sidelines of the Summit, Justin Vaïsse, Founder and Director General of the Paris Peace Forum, will speak on April 6th at the follow-up meeting of the Nutrition for Growth Summit, which took place a year ago in Paris. This session will bring together leaders from governments, civil society, international organizations, the private sector and the research community to assess progress and accelerate integrated action on nutrition and food systems.
