Buy from Women Digital Platform for Smallholder Farmers in Mali

The Sahel region is deeply impacted by insecurity, climate change and displacement. UN Women’s ‘Buy From Women’ project aims to strengthen women farmers’ resilience and leverage digital tools to connect them to better information, finance and markets. In Mali, where women’s empowerment is crucial to strengthen the ongoing peace-building process, the initiative helps farmers enhance their productivity, have more regular income and achieve food security for themselves and their families. The project showcases how climate-smart agriculture and gender-responsive innovation can promote peace and development.
