The Impact of Future Tech on Gender Equality

The open techDetector platform serves as a guide on the role of emerging technologies for sustainable development, a source of inspiration, and a capacity development tool for future technological literacy. As a tech foresight tool, the techDetector raises awareness of the implications of emerging technologies on sustainability and especially gender equality, assessing challenges and opportunities to showcase the potential impact of technologies on the lives of girls and women. The techDetector gender assessment fosters dialogue and helps actors in sustainable development make better-informed decisions. We aim to sensitize on potential gender-blind spots surrounding technologies. To reach this goal, we will offer discussion rounds, workshops, and open knowledge sharing on a public website.
