The Governance and Public Management Project strengthens Honduras’ security institutions to overcome both corruption and inefficiencies. Using a multi-tiered strategy, the project contributes to the reduction of violence in Honduras and the construction of a durable peace. After the Governance and Public Management project’s collaboration with Honduras' Ministry of Security, compliance with transparency and effectiveness standards nearly doubled from 37% in a baseline study to 71%. As good governance improves, so does security institutions' ability to investigate crimes and keep the population safe.
