The Women in Conflict Zones Initiative (WICZ) is solely dedicated to respond to women and girls’ specific needs and vulnerabilities in conflict environments and engages them in peacebuilding and conflict-resolution efforts. In pursuing its objectives, WICZ identifies, funds, and provides technical assistance for projects in six core areas including crisis response, education, healthcare, economic empowerment, technology, and peacebuilding. The initiative's commitment to women in agriculture extends beyond mere representation; it encompasses their unique perspectives, skills, and expertise, which play a significant role in resolving and mitigating conflicts. It identifies women's transformative potential in building resilient, sustainable agricultural systems and addresses their specific contributions, challenges, and essential strategies for achieving sustainable development goals.
