Closing the Digital Gender Gap in Africa

African Girls Can Code Initiative AGCCI 2018-2022 aims to close the digital gender gap in Africa by equipping young girls with digital literacy, coding, and personal development skills. It trains young girls and places them on track to for an education and career in Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) and coding, through coding camps targeting African girls, and promoting mainstream ICT, coding, and gender in national curricula, national media campaigns, and online digital platforms. Two regional camps were already organized for 131 young girls in 2018 and 2019.
