Paris, March 3rd, 2026 – On the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026, the Paris Peace Forum and everyone.AI brought together scientists, tech leaders, policymakers, and civil society actors around one defining question: How do we design AI that truly serves the next generation? The message was clear: child safety and child development cannot be separated, and the gap must be bridged in research, in product design, and in policy.
Unlocking the Future: A pact between tech giants and the next generation
In New Delhi, the Paris Peace Forum and everyone.AI co-organized the panel “Unlocking the Future: A pact between tech giants and the next generation”, dedicated to iRaise, a co-led initiative aiming to safeguard and serve children in the age of AI. As Stuart Russell, distinguished professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, stated in his opening statement: “We share a global responsibility to design an AI world that is fundamentally supportive of children”.
The panel highlighted the collective responsibility to put youth wellbeing and safety at the heart of AI design and governance, to protect them from both short and long-term harm. Speakers emphasized the need to ensure that AI tools empower children rather than create emotional reliance. On this occasion, iRaise released its “Adolescents and Anthropomorphic AI” report, directed by iRaise’s Chief Scientist, Dr. Mathilde Cerioli, an evidence-informed synthesis aiming to establish a robust framework and adjust AI model behaviors.
High-level sequence
In a parallel high-level sequence, Adrien Abécassis (Paris Peace Forum’s Policy Initiatives Director) joined French Minister Delegate for Artificial Intelligence Anne Le Hénanff, French Ambassador for AI Clara Chappaz, and Indian Joint Secretary for Cyber Diplomacy and E-Governance, Amit Shukla. During this session, Minister Le Hénanff launched an international call for scientific contributions to inform France’s G7 work on AI and the protection of children. Positioning iRaise as a key facilitator for this international momentum, Adrien Abécassis advocated for a transition to auditable metrics, arguing that since human neurobiology is "hardwired" to anthropomorphize conversational systems, safety must be engineered directly into model behaviors.
The Paris Peace Forum and everyone.AI remain committed to making iRaise the trusted space where every piece of this puzzle connects, from lab to boardroom to policymakers, together with partners across the globe.
