Bridging the evidence gap on AI misuse and Cybersecurity

The Paris Peace Forum was present at the 2026 RSAC Conference with Consulate General of France in San Francisco to Organize a working breakfast on bridging the evidence gap on AI misuse and Cybersecurity

An event aimed to help build an international consensus on AI security in the face of cyber threats.

This meeting brought together institutions and experts hailing from civil society and the private sector such as Interpol, Microsoft, Google Threat Intelligence group, Cisco, Withsecure, TrendAi and Wavestone.

This workin breakfast on AI et les cyberthreats allowed us to put highlights:

  • That Evidence of AI misuse is currently fragmented. AI developers observe misuses of AI models, while cybersecurity actors monitor networks and endpoints.
  • Recent reports from major tech companies confirming that state actors and criminal groups are already integrating AI across their entire operational cycle.
  • That without reliable, comparable, and shared data on the “misuse” of AI, policymakers struggle to calibrate their responses and adapt international standards.
  • The need to leverage established structures (ISACs, CERTs networks) to better coordinate our responses.

A meeting that starts a path towards global cooperation

The meeting and the sharing of expertise of these actors hailing from varying sectors allows us to adapt our solutions to better address the global challenge, that is the misuse of AI. Cybersecurity must be developed in global cooperation to integrate all the most pertinent voices and make solutions accessible across the world.
