The Forum's Work

Leading Mobilization for Nutrition

The Forum was honored to be an official partner of the N4G Summit and a member of its Steering Committee.

We were committed to promoting active private sector participation in the Summit, facilitating discussions through an Independent Expert Panel that provided prioritized action recommendations for policymakers and the various N4G Summit working groups, and leading a comprehensive mobilization and awareness campaign for the event.

Global Communication Campaign

The Forum was in charge of coordinating a comprehensive global communication campaign designed to raise awareness about the critical importance of nutrition. This campaign aimed to mobilize resources and drive public and political will, ensuring that the summit’s messages resonate at every level of society.

Through strategic partnerships with media organizations, influencers, and advocacy groups, the Forum amplified the N4G message across diverse platforms, from digital media to grassroots communities.

Private Sector Working Group

To facilitate meaningful private sector engagement, the Paris Peace Forum, along with the Access to Nutrition Initiative (ATNi) and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), co-led the “Businesses and Nutrition” working group.

Building on the foundation of the 2021 Tokyo N4G Business Constituency Group (BCG), this group has broadened its scope to include diverse sectors and company sizes. The focus was on developing SMART commitments to combat malnutrition, emphasizing the crucial role of businesses in this global effort and acknowledging that the fundamental issues of malnutrition cannot be resolved without the involvement of those who grow, manufacture, distribute, and market food to consumers.

All actions of this group have been undertaken in total transparency, and with the full support of the official N4G Summit governance.

Framework for N4G Private Sector Working Group

Private Sector and Nutrition: Everyone’s Business

On the eve of N4G 2025 (26 March 2025, 10:00 – 17:00 CET), ATNi (Access to Nutrition initiative), GAIN and the Paris Peace Forum brought together leaders from across sectors to strengthen the business case for nutrition for the exclusive event “Private Sector and Nutrition: Everyone’s Business”.

Through plenary and thematic sessions, we reflected on progress since Tokyo N4G 2021, addressed challenges, and encouraged action. A key milestone was the Paris Declaration on Business and Nutrition 2030, reinforcing commitments to healthier, more sustainable, and affordable food systems.

Independent Expert Panel on Nutrition

The Paris Peace Forum has also established an “Independent Expert Panel on Nutrition,” chaired by nutrition expert Mr. Shawn Baker (Chief Program Officer at Helen Keller Intl). This panel supported the Summit’s agenda by providing high-level insights and recommendations both for policymakers and the N4G Summit thematic working groups. It focused on critical systems such as food, health, education, social protection, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), while addressing cross-cutting themes of gender, climate, and innovation.
