The Paris Peace Forum, launched in 2018, is a multi-actor platform that seeks to respond to global challenges by leveraging its high-level annual event. The Forum works year-round to support the governance of global common goods like climate, outer space and oceans, and to improve international collaboration on global challenges, like disruptive technology and digital affairs. The Paris Peace Forum’s annual event each November convenes heads of state, governments, international organisations as well as leaders from civil society and the private sector. This community mobilizes around political initiatives and concrete projects, all which prioritize active participation from the Global South.

The Paris Peace Forum’s permanent secretariat is a team composed of varied and versatile profiles (across diplomacy, public policy, communications, programming, operations, protocol, etc..). The organisation is looking to onboard a new Partnerships Officer to support its work.

The objective of the Paris Peace Forum’s partnerships department is to secure funding from public and private organisations to finance the organisation, its programs and its events. We offer partner organisations a range of opportunities to actively participate in PPF’s program and events.

This role will be situated within the Paris Peace Forum’s permanent secretariat.

Alongside the Director of Partnerships and the team’s Partnerships Managers, the Partnerships Officer will be responsible for the following:

 

OBJECTIVES AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the delivery of opportunities offered to PPF’s partners:
    • Coordinate or lead the participation of partners at the Paris Peace Forum’s Spring Meeting on June 10th, at the 7th edition of the Paris Peace Forum on November 11th, notably:
      • In coordination with PPF’s programming team, partners and other relevant colleagues – prepare side events co-organised with partners (formats include panels, roundtables and/or social events);
      • Coordinate invitations for and accreditation of partners and their delegations at events;
      • Accompany partners during events to ensure delivery of partners’ benefits.
    • Support or lead transversal projects that relate to partners, including:
      • In collaboration with colleagues from other PPF teams, coordinate bilateral meetings by facilitating introductions between partners and high-level actors at events;
      • Working in collaboration with colleagues and partner organisations, coordinate the presence of partners at high level social events (dinners, receptions) organised by the PPF secretariat.

 

  • Support the partnerships department in coordinating the participation of partner delegations at other events during the contract period.

 

  • Support the partnership department’s fundraising efforts:
    • Fundraising support:
      • Monitor and research new funding opportunities for the Paris Peace Forum;
      • Update documents for prospective partners;
      • Draft and/or edit briefs and partnership proposals.

 

  • Database management for PPF’s community of partners:
    • Verify and update existing information;
    • Monitor new developments;
    • Coordinate the use of the database during events.

 

DESIRED PROFILE:

  • Education: master’s degree in international relations or another relevant discipline;
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience;
  • Experience in events, relationship and community management;
  • An interest in fundraising and managing partnerships;
  • Working-level English and French, written and spoken (C2 or equivalent);
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and other digital tools (experience with a CRM or managing a contact database is a plus).

  • Versatile and able to meet tight deadlines.

 

CONDITIONS:

Fixed contract (CDD), full-time, for a 7-month period. We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

Restaurant vouchers and a reimbursement covering 50% of transport costs will be offered. 

Remuneration: 33,000 euros gross per year.

The offices of the Paris Peace Forum’s permanent secretariat are in Paris (75015). It will be possible to work remotely a maximum of two days per week, contingent on leadership approval.
