United States Vice President Kamala Harris will be the guest of honor at the fourth edition of the Paris Peace Forum, which will take place from 11-13 November at la Grande Halle de La Villette and online.

"The choice of the Paris Peace Forum for her first visit to Europe is a sign of the United States' renewed attention to the multilateral system, which had suffered during the Trump administration, and to coordinating with other actors of the international community," explained Justin Vaïsse, the Forum's founder and director general.

Kamala Harris will be present at the Forum's Official Ceremony on 11 November, alongside French President Emmanuel Macron and dozens of heads of state and international organization.

Following the G20 Summit in Rome (30-31 October) and the COP26 Climate Change Conference in Glasgow (1-12 November), numerous heads of state and international organization, as well as business leaders and representatives of global civil society, will gather in Paris from 11 to 13 November for the fourth edition of the Paris Peace Forum.

The 2021 Paris Peace Forum will be dedicated to addressing global governance gaps. Participants will bring ideas and concrete answers to the challenges threatening the response to the pandemic crisis and inclusive economic recovery for all.

As is the case each year, several heads of state will attend the Forum alongside Emmanuel Macron. Heads of international organizations such as WHO Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus and IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva will also speak.

In addition to many international civil society activists, the event will gather celebrities such as Oscar-winning actor and UNESCO Special Envoy for Peace and Reconciliation Forest Whitaker, as well as leaders of large multinational companies including Brad Smith (Microsoft) and Ajay Banga (Mastercard).
