Weeecam

Electronic waste (WEEE) is an invaluable source of strategic raw materials. It contains 50 times more gold than natural ores. But it is very toxic, and its poor management has considerable impacts on health and the environment, but also global warming. Africa is now used as a dumping ground for the WEEE of developed countries. In response to this situation, the WEEECAM project aims to demonstrate that recycling of WEEE in Africa can be both ecological and profitable through a large-scale pilot project that is sustainable and replicable.
