Project presentation

As a result of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, 10 million people left their homes. In this context, more than 300,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) moved to Dniprо city and the region. The Ukrainian government and volunteer organizations help IDPs meet their basic needs. In addition to material losses, IDPs lost a significant part of their social capital. The NGO “Power of Future” in partnership with GIZ’s Civil Peace Services supports IDPs who fled to Dnipro and the region and creates conditions for their integration by restoring their social capital through creative methods of conflict transformation, creating a supportive community and helping to meet their socio-emotional needs through socio-psychological support. Through joint activities and dialogue with the host community, the project forsees the strengthening of IDPs’ inclusion of on the communal level.

Organization presentation

“Power of Future” has been cooperating with the Civil Peace Service GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) in Dnipro since 2018. It has implemented many socio-cultural projects. The goal is to support migrants and help them start a new life in the Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk region. The cooperation with GIZ CPS allows the organization to implement initiatives that are beneficial to Ukrainian society and Ukrainians who are facing challenging and difficult times.
