Biodiversity Conservation in Our Neighborhoods (BCON) is an approach that encourages the protection of biodiversity in people's daily lives and activities. Target : all people. Long-term goal: to foster the awareness of "nature around us" and promote harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. Results so far: · The Community Conservation Areas (CCAfa) Initiative was launched, and about 200 CCAfas have been established. · The initiative has helped to promote the establishment of China's first local regulations on biodiversity conservation. · About 165 best practices BCON cases have been published, which serve as vivid examples inspiring people to follow. Key partners: Over 200 communities, thousands of volunteers, conservationists, over 20 ecological farms in China performing BCON and the news media.
