ARIJ AI Speaks Arabic

Project Summary

The Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) AI Speaks Arabic project works to improve the quality of content and information reaching the public. By integrating AI into journalism, the project built a comprehensive AI strategy and code of ethics to meet industry-specific challenges and needs.

Additionally, the project worked on localizing and developing tools to assist in investigative journalism and fact-checking in the Arabic language - a language that many current tools do not support. As a result, the ARIJ AI Speaks Arabic program promotes empowering a community of over 600 journalists and fact-checkers, along with dozens of media with strategies that enhance Arabic content quality and fact-checking across the region.
