The Alliance of Global Talent Organizations (AGTO) addresses an important gap in global talent mobility governance. This situation exacerbates brain, skill and care drain, and the underutilization and exploitation of talent. It causes imbalances in economic, trade and mobility systems, and even inter-state tensions. The AGTO recognizes this watershed moment and responds to the UN SDGs and Global Compact on Migration to establish a global framework on talent mobility through two main objectives: 1) reaching a global consensus on the basis of initiating and deepening talent-specific policy dialogues driven by research and stakeholder insights, and 2) establishing the AGTO as a center of excellence for the identification and dissemination of data, knowledge, and effective policy and industry practices.
