Fabienne Hara appointed Secretary General of the Paris Peace Forum|Press release

Fabienne Hara joins the Paris Peace Forum as Secretary General. A senior policy expert in conflict management and resolution, multilateral diplomacy, and African affairs, Fabienne Hara has held leadership and advisory positions in international think tanks such as the International Crisis Group and the Council on Foreign Relations, in philanthropic foundations such as Open Society Foundations, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and The Elders, as well as at the United Nations, both in the field and in New York. She succeeds diplomat Marc Reverdin, the Forum's Secretary General since it was founded in 2018.

"Fabienne Hara is joining the Paris Peace Forum as it enters a transformation phase. The Forum will transition from an annual event to a permanent platform serving multi-actor initiatives including those already launched – on common goods such as digital governance, health, or climate – and those in preparation, as well as innovative global governance projects selected over the years," explains Pascal Lamy, President of the Paris Peace Forum.

"The creation of this platform is a natural extension of our work over the past four years, and Fabienne will be tasked with organizing and leading this change," says Justin Vaïsse, Founder and Director General of the Forum. "Her experience in the field and renowned civil society organizations, as well as her in-depth knowledge of international politics, will be essential assets to ensure this transformation is successful. I am pleased to welcome Fabienne on behalf of our governing bodies and the entire Forum team. I would also like to thank her predecessor, Marc Reverdin, who spared no effort in ensuring the successful launch of the Forum in 2018 and has supported its strong growth ever since. The Forum would not be where it is without his tremendous talents."
