The Paris Peace Forum is a platform that brings together global governance players, supports projects, and builds coalitions to find solutions to the world’s major challenges. Throughout the year, the Forum works to strengthen the governance of global public goods such as space, cyberspace, and the oceans, and to improve international management of significant issues, from the development of artificial intelligence and disruptive technologies to the risk of pandemics and global warming. Its annual event brings together heads of state, government, and international organizations, as well as leaders from civil society and the private sector, around concrete initiatives, with an emphasis on North-South cooperation.

The team of the Permanent Secretariat of the association, composed of varied and versatile profiles (diplomacy, public relations, communication, programming, operations, etc.), is currently looking for a “Policy Officer” (M/F) to reinforce its nutrition program.

He/she will be responsible for the following tasks:

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate the work of the PPF on nutrition in the run-up to the “Nutrition for Growth Summit” scheduled for 2025.
  • Manage working groups, organize events and roundtables, and manage the day-to-day activities related to the initiative;
  • Draft talking points, notes, and any other relevant content related to the Forum’s work in this field;
  • Monitor political and regulatory developments in the main geopolitical centers and internationally (press reviews, consultations, international negotiations, identification of key actors, etc.);
  • Act as internal point of contact on portfolio issues:
    • Support the fundraising teams on portfolio issues (preparation of fundraising elements and the thematic value proposition, preparation of talking points, participation in meetings with partners, and pitching of initiatives);
    • Contribute to the promotion of the initiatives supported by the Forum and to the communication strategy concerning portfolio issues;
    • Collaborate with the operational and programming teams to organize portfolio-related activities during events;
    • Produce and verify editorial content related to policy work and portfolio initiatives;
    • Any other task assigned in relation to the portfolio and the smooth operation of the Forum.

 

RESEARCH PROFILE

  • Significant experience (minimum 2 years) in public affairs, international relations and preferably with in-depth knowledge of nutrition, agriculture and/or health issues;
  • Education: Master 1 or 2;
  • Areas of specialization: International Relations, Public Affairs, International Development;
  • Proficiency in English and French, both written and oral (C2 level or equivalent required);
  • Mastery of office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and digitally savvy.

 

SKILLS & QUALITIES REQUIRED

  • Excellent writing skills;
  • Thoroughness, autonomy and initiative;
  • Ability to work as part of a team;
  • Ability to adapt and work to tight deadlines.

 

CONDITIONS

Full-time, fixed-term contract for a period of 6 months, starting end of April.

Meal tickets and reimbursement of 50% of the cost of transportation.
