Mark your calendars!
The 2023 Paris Peace Forum will take place on 10-11 November, gathering once again under one roof the most important actors in global governance. We look forward to seeing you at our sixth edition this November!
In early 2023, several wars are raging. Humanity is threatened by global warming and the disappearance of biodiversity. Pandemics might return while the risk of economic upheaval threatens the poorest. The need for global governance has never been so pressing.
But the supply is wanting and waning. Traditional institutions are affected by increased great power competition and national populism. And they have yet to respond to the new problems brought on by rapidly changing technologies.
What can be done? In 2023, the Paris Peace Forum will keep defending collective action. It will do its modest part to increase the supply of good governance. It will keep pushing its large coalitions in fields like cybersecurity, critical minerals, climate overshoot or development finance. And it will remain a place of coordination and negotiation among all committed actors – not just governments – to roll back the chaos.
Friends of the Forum: help us make 2023 a year of progress for the world!
Justin Vaïsse,
Founder and Director General of the Paris Peace Forum
