Digital Communications Internship

The Paris Peace Forum is a multi-stakeholder platform launched in 2018 that aims to respond to global challenges through, in particular, a large-scale annual event. Throughout the year, the Forum works to strengthen the governance of global commons such as climate, space or oceans, and to improve international management of global challenges, particularly those of digital and disruptive technologies. Its annual event, in November, brings together heads of state, government and international organizations, as well as leaders of civil society and the private sector, to discuss political initiatives and concrete projects, with an emphasis on the participation of the global South.
The team of the Permanent Secretariat of the association, composed of varied and versatile profiles (diplomacy, public relations, communication, programming, operations, etc.), is currently looking for a Digital Communications Intern for a 6-month internship to strengthen its communications team.
In support of the deployment of a dynamic digital communication strategy, you will actively participate in highlighting all actions of the association, in particular:
- The major events (Nutrition for Growth Summit, spring meeting and annual forum) to encourage participation and promote programming;
- The support process for the projects supported by the association;
- To highlight the activity of the policy initiatives incubated by the Forum.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital communication support:
- Social media management (Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)
- Elaboration and implementation of communications campaigns (definition of strategy, creation of graphic and video content, key messages, publication calendar);
- Performance and impact analysis;
- management of the Forum’s website to promote its activities (events, supported projects, political initiatives, partnerships, etc.).
General support for the communications team:
- Production of minutes of meetings and appointments, ensuring meeting reporting and follow-up;
- Writing, editing and translation of documents for different target audiences;
- Production of presentation documents and other communication supports.
PROFILE
Education:
- Currently enrolled as a student – Master 1-2 level (Bac +4/5) + relevant experience – and able to obtain an internship contract, with:
- Specialization preferably in communication, digital design, or marketing, with a real interest in international affairs;
- or Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, with experience and/or knowledge and skills in the field of digital communication.
SKILLS & QUALITIES REQUIRED
Required skills & qualifications:
- We are looking for a versatile and autonomous person with a strong ability to work within a dynamic team;
- Mastery of the fundamentals of digital communication and understanding of the inner workings of social media networks (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube);
- Proficiency in English and French, both written and oral (C1-C2 level or equivalent required);
- Understanding of office software (Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint);
- Proficiency in Canva
- Experience with an online content management system (CMS), particularly WordPress;
- Proficiency in Adobe PremierePro or other video editing software;
- Able to provide writing samples (article) or other works (video, graphic design) upon request.
Additional valuable qualifications:
- Particular interest and experience in events;
- Interest in international relations and global governance issues and knowledge of the main actors in these fields;
- Knowledge of software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator would be a plus;
- Beyond the required French and English, the 2 official languages of the Paris Peace Forum, proficiency in any additional languages would be an added value.
CONDITIONS
Internship position starting as soon as possible for a duration of 6 months. Internship agreement required. Benefits include compensatory allowance, lunch vouchers and 50% reimbursement of monthly public transportation.
