The Paris Peace Forum is a multi-stakeholder platform launched in 2018 with the aim of strengthening the governance of global commons and providing concrete responses to major global challenges. It is based in particular on a high-level annual event bringing together heads of state and government, international organisations, civil society and the private sector, with a particular focus on participation from the Global South.

Throughout the year, the Forum develops and leads policy initiatives in close collaboration with public decision-makers, multilateral institutions, the private sector and civil society organisations.

In this context, the Paris Peace Forum is recruiting an Agriculture & Nutrition Manager to lead and develop two strategic initiatives:

  • ATLAS – Agricultural Transitions Lab for African Solutions, dedicated to mobilising funding and accelerating agricultural transitions in Africa;
  • The Nutrition programme, including monitoring the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit and implementing the Paris Declaration on the Private Sector and Nutrition 2030.

 

POSITION

Reporting to the Head of Development Initiatives, the Agriculture & Nutrition Manager is responsible for the strategic, policy and operational management of the ATLAS and Nutrition initiatives. He/she supervises two Policy Officers and acts as the Forum’s internal and external point of contact on agricultural issues.

This position combines strategic vision, management, representation and operational implementation in a complex and demanding international environment.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

 

1. Strategic management of ATLAS and Nutrition initiatives :

  • Define and implement the multi-year strategy for ATLAS and Nutrition initiatives, in line with the Forum’s priorities and major international agendas.
  • Ensure the implementation and political follow-up of the Paris Declaration on the Private Sector and Nutrition 2030.
  • Structure and develop agriculture-nutrition work streams, including the ‘soil to health’ approach, mobilising finance, investment and private sector engagement.
  • Identify new strategic, partnership and policy opportunities to increase the impact and visibility of the initiatives.

 

2. Team management and coordination

  • Supervise, lead and support two Policy Officers (allocating priorities, monitoring deliverables, skills development).
  • Ensure the day-to-day coordination of ATLAS and Nutrition activities, in conjunction with other Forum teams (program, communications, operations, fundraising).
  • Guarantee the quality, consistency and timely delivery of documents and reports (investment barometer, 2×30 Challenge, strategic notes, advocacy materials, editorial content).

 

3. Facilitation of international coalitions and partnerships

  • Develop and maintain relationships with members of the ATLAS and Nutrition coalitions: governments, donors, businesses, international organisations, think tanks, NGOs and experts.
  • Expand and consolidate existing coalitions, particularly in Africa, and strengthen synergies with other Forum initiatives and external partners.
  • Design, lead and facilitate thematic working groups and multi-stakeholder dialogue spaces.

 

4. Representation, advocacy and influence

  • Represent the Forum and its initiatives in relevant international forums (UN, political summits, sectoral conferences, scientific events).
  • Design and facilitate high-level sessions, round tables and international events.
  • Monitor international political, regulatory and financial developments related to agriculture, nutrition and food security.

 

5. Fundraising and resource development

  • Actively contribute to the fundraising strategy for the ATLAS and Nutrition initiatives. Support fundraising teams: define value propositions, prepare materials, identify partners and participate in meetings.

 

6. Events and visibility

  • Lead the contribution of the ATLAS and Nutrition initiatives to the annual Paris Peace Forum event.
  • Oversee the organisation of side events, webinars and partner events throughout the year.
  • Contribute to the communication and promotion strategy for the initiatives, in conjunction with the dedicated teams.

 

PROFILE

  • Professional experience: minimum 7 years’ experience in a comparable international environment (international organisation, public institution, think tank, NGO, foundation, private sector), with proven expertise in agriculture, nutrition, food security and/or development financing issues.
  • Management experience: experience in team management or coordination and project management.
  • Sector expertise: excellent knowledge of the international agriculture-nutrition ecosystem, the challenges facing the African continent and multi-stakeholder dynamics.
  • Education: Master’s degree (international relations, public affairs, international development, agriculture, nutrition, public policy or equivalent field).
  • Languages: fluent in French and English, both written and spoken (C2 level).
  • Technical skills: very good writing and analytical skills; proficiency in office and digital tools.

CONTRACT DETAILS:

  • Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time, possibility of conversion to permanent contract at the end of the term.
  • Start date: 1 February 2026.
  • Remuneration: €45,000 gross per annum
  • Benefits: 50% of meal vouchers, Navigo pass and mutual insurance covered.
  • Location: Paris (15th arrondissement).
  • Remote working: up to 2 days per week.
