The Paris Peace Forum is a French initiative launched in 2018 to create a multi-actor platform in Paris to address global governance issues. Throughout the year, the Forum works to strengthen the governance of global commons, such as space, cyberspace, or the oceans, and improve the international management of global issues, the development of AI and disruptive technologies, or the ecological and social transition of the economy. Its annual event gathers heads of state, government and international organization, as well as civil society and private sector leaders, around concrete initiatives with an emphasis on the global South.

The team of the Permanent Secretariat of the association, composed of varied and versatile profiles (diplomacy, public relations, communication, programming, operations, etc.), is currently looking for an intern to reinforce its Global Health program.

He/she will be responsible for the following tasks:

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the organization of various events: online meetings of the core advisory group working on fair benefit-sharing; in-person meetings of the PPF including in partner events;
  • Draft reports and notes on various topics of interest (climate & health, AMR, reform of the global health architecture, etc.…);
  • Monitor international news on global health and summarize relevant reports.

  

RESEARCH PROFILE

  • Education: Master 1 or 2;
  • Areas of specialization: International Relations, Global Health, International Development;
  • Proficiency in English and French, both written and oral (C2 level or equivalent required);
  • Mastery of office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and digitally savvy.

 

SKILLS & QUALITIES REQUIRED

  • Excellent writing skills;
  • Thoroughness, autonomy and initiative;
  • Ability to work as part of a team;
  • Ability to adapt and work to tight deadlines.

 

 CONDITIONS

  • Full-time, fixed-term contract for a period of 6 months, starting mid-April. Meal tickets and reimbursement of 50% of the cost of transportation.
