Innovative Mass Messaging on Covid-19

This project provides vetted and culturally relevant information to citizens to counter disbelief and misinformation, catalyze citizens' actions and solidarity, and combat stigmatization. Led by the Africa CDC and Co-Creation Hub (CCHub) and facilitated by the GIZ Office to the African Union, the project enables technology and communication start-ups to support last-mile communications focused on meaningful citizen participation and functional collaboration between Africa’s policymakers and the continent’s growing innovation ecosystem. Over 3 million Africans in semi-urban and rural communities have been reached in more than 20 countries.
