Project Summary

The Strategic Insights Tool for Rough Sleeping (SITRS) gives insight into trends amongst rough sleepers in London, allowing targeted intervention. It draws on a range of data sources to show and identify trends. It is designed to provide insights into what is and isn’t working to support homeless people / rough sleepers.

The target population of users includes London city authorities and non-governmental organisations/charities supporting rough sleepers. The population of benefit includes rough sleepers in London and those at risk of becoming rough sleepers. The project could be paralleled in other cities. The intended impact is to reduce homelessness/rough sleeping. Thus far, 40 organisations have provided data and 150+ users use the system to support rough sleepers. Partners include the London Office of Technology and Innovation (Loti), and Beam, a social impact tech business.
