Forecast-based financing: An innovative approach for better preparedness of drought in Sahel region

Africa’s Sahel region faces complex and interconnected challenges including food insecurity, climate change and political fragility. The project aims to adopt the Forecast-based Financing (FbF) approach to improve preparedness for the food security crisis and thus contribute to addressing the protracted humanitarian crisis in the region.
