Press release - 21 October 2021

Request your accreditation to cover the Paris Peace Forum this 11, 12, and 13 November

In the wake of the G20 Summit in Rome (30-31 October) and the COP26 Climate Change Conference in Glasgow (1-12 November), numerous heads of state and international organization, as well as business leaders and representatives of international civil society, will gather in Paris from 11 to 13 November for the fourth edition of the Paris Peace Forum.

This edition will be dedicated to addressing global governance gaps. Participants will bring ideas and concrete answers to the challenges threatening the response to the pandemic crisis and an inclusive worldwide economic recovery.

As has been the case since the Forum was launched in 2018, several heads of state are expected to attend alongside Emmanuel Macron. Heads of international organizations such as WHO Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, and more will also speak.

In addition to many international civil society activists, the Forum will welcome celebrities such as Oscar-winning actor and UNESCO Special Envoy for Peace and Reconciliation Forest Whitaker and leaders of large multinational companies, of which Brad Smith (Microsoft) and Ajay Banga (Mastercard).

A hybrid event offering a total interactive experience

Following a fully digital edition last year, the 2021 Paris Peace Forum returns in a hybrid format, gathering more than 15,000 online participants and several hundred in-person participants at la Grande Halle de La Villette in Paris.

The Paris Peace Forum has developed a digital platform allowing participants to interact with other attendees, follow the debates live, access networking tools, and create their own panel. Online, participants will also be able to discover the 80 projects selected to address current global issues in the Forum's Space for Solutions.

Covering the 2021 hybrid event

This year, we will only be able to welcome a limited number of journalists to la Grande Halle de La Villette due to health restrictions. Therefore, we have developed a dedicated press area on the digital platform, where all the videos, pictures, press releases, and press kits will be available, as well as the contact information for interview requests.
