The Paris Peace Forum is a multi-stakeholder platform launched in 2018 that aims to respond to global challenges through, in particular, a large-scale annual event. Throughout the year, the Forum works to strengthen the governance of global commons such as climate, space or oceans, and to improve international management of global challenges, particularly those of digital and disruptive technologies. Its annual event, in November, brings together heads of state, government and international organizations, as well as leaders of civil society and the private sector, to discuss political initiatives and concrete projects, with an emphasis on the participation of the global South.

 

The association’s permanent secretariat team, is made up of a variety of multi-skilled professionals (diplomacy, public policy, communications, programming, operations, protocol, etc.)

 

To support our continued growth, the Paris Peace Forum is looking for a “Partnerships Manager” to join its fundraising department. This role will report to the Director of Partnerships, who leads a dynamic three-person team responsible for raising public and private funds to finance the Paris Peace Forum’s budget. PPF’s activities are supported by a range of companies, governments, international organizations and philanthropies, and the new partnerships manager will be responsible for a varied portfolio. 

 

The person recruited will be responsible for the following tasks:

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Donor/Relationship Management:

  • Ensure partners/donors are informed about and engaged in PPF’s activities and event programming throughout the year;
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with new partners, and avenues for expanded collaboration with existing ones;
  • Keep up to date on important developments at partner organisations;
  • Define, negotiate and formalise new partnership agreements and renewals in collaboration with PPF’s leadership and finance teams.

 

Fundraising:

  • Identification of new funding opportunities and contacts – particularly to support the expansion of PPF’s policy department;
  • Write fundraising memos and detailed proposals in close collaboration with PPF’s policy and finance teams;
  • Lead the preparation, writing and submission of grants, including the coordination and formatting of all required administrative, financial and diligence materials;
  • Draft comprehensive briefs and strategic talking points for PPF’s leadership in advance of top-level meetings and events in Paris and abroad;
  • Contribute actively to the development and implementation of the Paris Peace Forum’s fundraising strategy.

 

Grant Reporting:

  • Lead the planning/coordination, drafting and submission of donor reports, in close collaboration with relevant departments, notably finance and administration.

 

Event Management:

  • Coordinate the participation of partner delegations at the annual Paris Peace Forum and other PPF events;
  • Collaborate closely with partners to identify relevant speaking and networking opportunities at the annual Paris Peace Forum and other PPF events;
  • Work closely with partners on the co-production and delivery of PPF side-events.

 

 

PROFILE

  • Substantial professional experience across fundraising, partnerships, project/account management, business development, and events – ideally in an international context;
  • Bachelor (master’s preferred) in a relevant field such as international relations, political science, journalism;
  • Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken);
  • Interested in and up to date on global affairs;
  • Excellent writer and editor;
  • At ease with Microsoft Office, generally digitally savvy.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment;
  • Able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines;
  • Knowledge of the global and European philanthropic landscape would be a plus;
  • A thoughtful and collaborative team player.

 

 

CONDITIONS

Full-time contract (CDI), starting as soon as possible.

50% reimbursement of:

  • luncheon vouchers;

The offices of the permanent secretariat of the Paris Peace Forum are located in Paris (15th arrondissement). It will be possible to telecommute for a maximum of 2 days per week, subject to approval by management.
