Tahir Aziz is a senior peacebuilding practitioner with more than fifteen years’ experience in the field of mediation and conflict transformation. He is currently leading the only international peacebuilding programme that operates in both the Indian and Pakistani administered territories of Kashmir. Tahir is an experienced facilitator of Track 2/1.5 processes, mediation, negotiation and civil society engagement. He has seven years’ experience of working within the government of Pakistan-administered Kashmir in a number of roles including directing a national Human Rights Commission in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, representing the region in the United Nations Human Rights Commission and other international fora, and planning and implementing developmental projects for the government.
