Biography

Ms. Susana Malcorra is President and cofounder of GWL Voices for Change and Inclusion, an NGO based in Madrid and dedicated to promoting gender equality in the multilateral system. She was the Dean of IE School of Global & Public Affairs in Spain. Ms. Malcorra served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Argentina (2015-2017). She was the Chef de Cabinet of the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon. Before helding these positions, she led the Department of Field Support (DFS) for Peace Missions, based in New York, as Under-Secretary General of the United Nations. In 2004, she joined the World Food Programme (WFP) in Rome, as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Ms. Malcorra started her professional development in IBM Argentina. She spent almost twenty-five years in the private sector. From January 1993 to 2002, she worked in Telecom Argentina, where she became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Ms. Malcorra is an active public speaker, a Board member in different renowned organizations such as the United Nations Foundation and has received several awards as a recognition for her work and contribution to national and international institutions. She is an Engineer and graduated from Universidad de Rosario (Argentina).
