Steven Gruzd is head of the African Governance and Diplomacy Programme at the South African Institute of International Affairs in Johannesburg. He was senior researcher at the South Africa Jewish Board of Deputies from 2011-2013. Interests include African politics and governance, Russia-Africa relations and South African foreign policy. He writes frequently for the South African Jewish Report and other media. Steven holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science in International Relations and a BA (Hons) in International Relations from the University of the Witwatersrand.
