Biography
Signe Riisalo is the Minister of Social Protection of the Republic of Estonia from 26 January 2021. She is a member of the Estonian Reform Party.Signe Riisalo was born on 8 October 1968 in Tallinn. EMPLOYMENT HISTORY AND CAREER• From 2019–2021, she was a member of the 14th Riigikogu, a member of the Riigikogu Study Committee to Solve the Demographic Crisis, and a member of the Social Affairs Committee.• From 1993–2019, she worked at the Ministry of Social Affairs.• From 1990–1993, she was the Assistant Adviser at the Government Office.• From 1987–1990, she was an Engineer at Eesti Maaehitusprojekt.EDUCATIONSigne Riisalo graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Tallinn Polytechnic Institute in 1989; from Tallinn University in 1995 with a degree in social work; from the University of Tartu in 2008 with a degree in law; from Tallinn University in 2017 with a degree in social work; and undertook her postgraduate studies in social pedagogy and child protection at Tallinn University in 2017
