Monica is a consultant in the mining sector in Africa focussed on promoting responsible sourcing of minerals and enhancing traceability in the minerals supply chain. She works closely with Artisanal and Small-scale miners (ASM) in various countries to support them in responsible mining operations, sourcing for financing and access to markets. Currently focussed on developing frameworks for sourcing critical minerals sustainably from ASM operators towards a just energy transition. She passionately advocates for the inclusion and participation of women in the minerals value chains.
