Biography

Kelly L. Razzouk currently serves at the White House National Security Council as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Democracy and Human Rights. Prior to this, Razzouk was Acting Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy for United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield. From 2018-2020, Razzouk was Director of Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy for the International Rescue Committee where she represented the organization at the United Nations. Razzouk served as Human Rights Advisor to Ambassador Susan Rice and Senior Policy Advisor to Ambassador Samantha Power where she led key human rights initiatives for the Obama administration. While a career civil servant, Razzouk worked in a number of State Department Bureaus, including as a member of the U.S. delegation to the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva. Razzouk holds a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law.
