Biography
Dr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki is the African Union Special Envoy for Food Systems and former CEO of the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) from 2009 to 2022. He was Prime Minister of Niger from 1997 to 2000. Dr. Mayaki holds a Master’s degree from the National School of Public Administration (Enap), Quebec, and a PhD in Administrative Sciences from the University of Paris I. He served as Minister of African Integration, Cooperation, and Foreign Affairs of Niger, and taught Public Administration in Niger, Venezuela, and at the University of Paris XI. In 2004, he led the Rural Hub in Dakar, Senegal.
