Hongqiao Liu is a Paris-based independent journalist and policy consultant. She has been tracking China's environmental crisis and climate actions since 2010. She directs Shuang Tan, a policy intelligence start-up that fosters informed decision-making about China's role in the global climate crisis. She is a two-time TED speaker and a current visiting fellow at the University of Oxford. She has worked for Caixin, Carbon Brief, China Water Risk, CCICED, Ember, WCS, and WWF, among others.
