Opportunities for Youth in Africa is a joint UNIDO and FAO program that proposes an integrated approach for the creation of quality employment and self-employment opportunities for young African professionals in agriculture and agribusiness. Taking into account the economic impact of Covid-19, youth-sensitive analysis serves to identify agricultural and agribusiness opportunities, including innovative markets that can benefit from youth-driven innovation, the digitalization of services, and provision of support for youth-led SMEs in their capacity for added-value production, and eLearning. OYA aims to mitigate the Covid-19 impacts on the young labor force by enabling and training young workers, allowing them to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving labor market and contribute to the growth and development of SMEs.
