2022

“Europe Prykhystok” is a regional effort initiated in April 2022 to support the most vulnerable victims of the war in Ukraine, especially children. We believe that there is an untapped potential for local actors to develop a decentralized regional governance to more thoughtfully and more creatively respond to the emerging challenges relating to large movements of forcibly displaced persons in the world. We initiate and coordinate short- or long-term refuge by brokering new and evolving partnerships with local actors, in cooperation with national governments. This is a demand-driven program, which constantly listens to the evolving needs of the most concerned people to addresses them. The multi-actor European governance system that EP has developed is aimed at being used in the future for new waves of Ukrainian refugees and for those coming from other parts of the world.
