The Paris Peace Forum is a multi-stakeholder platform launched in 2018 that aims to respond to global challenges through, in particular, a large-scale annual event. Throughout the year, the Forum works to strengthen the governance of global commons such as climate, space or oceans, and to improve international management of global challenges, particularly those of digital and disruptive technologies. Its annual event, in November, brings together heads of state, government and international organizations, as well as leaders of civil society and the private sector, to discuss political initiatives and concrete projects, with an emphasis on the participation of the global South.

The team of the permanent secretariat of the association, composed of varied and diverse profiles (diplomacy, public relations, communication, programming, operations, etc.), is currently looking for an operations officer to reinforce its teams.

The person recruited will be responsible for the following tasks:


As a member of the Operations team, he or she will be responsible for coordinating the hospitality and interpretation aspects of the 7th Paris Peace Forum, with particular emphasis on the volunteer program.

  • In liaison with the events agency, ensure the smooth coordination of the hospitality and interpretation arrangements;
  • act as the operational liaison between the Paris Peace Forum teams, the volunteers, hospitality staff and institutions involved;
  • steering the selection process for Volunteers, in direct liaison with partner institutions, guaranteeing their training and ensuring the smooth running of their duties during the event;
  • coordinating the allocation of interpreters according to the event’s requirements, and ensuring the smooth running of their duties during the event and
  • support the event agency in coordinating hospitality and security officers;

The operations officer will work under the direct responsibility of the Operations Director in close collaboration with the Operations Manager and all members of the permanent secretariat.



  • Significant experience in event planning, previous experience in leading a team (volunteer or otherwise) will be appreciated;
  • education: Master 1 or 2;
  • proficiency in French and English, both written and oral (C1 level or above is mandatory) and
  • mastery of office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and digitally savvy.

  • excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills;
  • thoroughness, autonomy and organizational skills;
  • ability to work as part of a team and
  • ability to adapt and work to tight deadlines.



Full-time, fixed-term contract for a period of 3 months, starting end of August/ beginning of September.

Salary: 33, 000 euros gross per year.  

50% reimbursement of:

  • luncheon vouchers;
  • transport pass;
  • the association’s health insurance scheme.

The offices of the permanent secretariat of the Paris Peace Forum are located in Paris (15th arrondissement). It will be possible to telecommute for a maximum of 2 days per week, subject to approval by management.
