The Paris Peace Forum is a multi-stakeholder platform launched in 2018 that aims to respond to global challenges through, in particular, a large-scale annual event. Throughout the year, the Forum works to strengthen the governance of global commons such as climate, space or oceans, and to improve international management of global challenges, particularly those of digital and disruptive technologies. Its annual event, in November, brings together heads of state, government and international organizations, as well as leaders of civil society and the private sector, to discuss political initiatives and concrete projects, with an emphasis on the participation of the global South.

The team of the permanent secretariat of the association, composed of varied and diverse profiles (diplomacy, public relations, communication, programming, operations, etc.), is currently looking for a Public Relations officer to reinforce its teams.

The person recruited will be responsible for the following tasks:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Writing key messages and creating communication materials tailored to different target audiences: high-level political participants (official delegations, leaders of international organizations, parliamentarians), prominent representatives of civil society and academia, as well as youth representatives (students, activists, influencers);
  • Managing correspondence, invitations, registrations, and coordinating of bilateral meetings ;
  • Preparing documents and events for various target audiences ;
  • Organizing and coordinating thematic events in collaboration with institutional partners;
  • Organizing social events (receptions, dinners, etc.) to foster exchanges and networking;
  • Managing relationships with institutional partners;
  • Contributing to the preparation of the association’s annual report, including statistics and key messages;
  • Supporting the development and promotion of the “Youth Track” in partnership with universities, student associations, and institutional partners to encourage youth engagement and participation.

PROFILE

  • Education Level: Master’s Degree (Bac +5) with at least a first working experience. Professional and academic references will be required
  • Areas of specialization : international relations, political sciences, international law
  • Proficiency in English and French, both written and oral (C2 level or equivalent required) ;
  • Mastery of office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and digitally savvy.

CONDITIONS

Full-time contract with a starting date as soon as possible.

Meal tickets and reimbursement of 50% of the cost of transportation.

The offices of the permanent secretariat of the Paris Peace Forum are located in Paris (15th arrondissement). It will be possible to telecommute for a maximum of 2 days per week, subject to approval by management.
